What is it?
A tap to fridge (or fridge water point) is a plumbed water connection behind your refrigerator that supplies filtered water and ice to compatible fridge models. The inclusion covers the plumbing pipe, water filter, and connection point. Without it, your fridge's water and ice features can't be used.
Why buyers compare it
- Retrofitting a water line to a fridge post-handover is disruptive and costly
- Some builders include the fridge water point as standard; others charge extra
- The water line must be planned before the kitchen cabinetry and plaster are installed
